AEO Flash
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 17, 2026
Overview
AEO Flash helps Shopify merchants publish AI-readable storefront manifests and understand when known AI crawlers request those manifests. This policy explains what data the app processes and how it is used.
Data We Access
The app may access store information and product catalog data through Shopify APIs, including product titles, handles, descriptions, vendors, product types, tags, SEO fields, and public product URLs. This data is used to generate llms.txt and llms-full.txt manifest content for the merchant's storefront.
The app also stores Shopify session data required for authentication and app operation.
Crawler Reporting Data
When a known AI crawler requests an AEO Flash manifest, the app may record the store domain, crawler name, requested path, user agent, IP address, and request time. This information is used only to show crawler activity in the merchant dashboard.
Customer Data
AEO Flash does not request or process protected customer data such as customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, orders, or payment information.
How Data Is Used
Data processed by AEO Flash is used to:
- Authenticate merchants and operate the Shopify app.
- Generate AI-readable storefront manifest files.
- Display AI crawler detection and readiness information.
- Maintain app security, reliability, and troubleshooting.
Data Sharing
AEO Flash does not sell merchant data. Data is shared only with service providers required to host, store, secure, and operate the app, or when required by law.
Data Retention and Deletion
App data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. When a merchant uninstalls the app, AEO Flash receives the Shopify uninstall webhook and stops processing new data for that store. Merchants may request deletion of stored app data by contacting support.
